International Falls has received national attention for its annual foot races. This four-day winter festival fondly known as “IceBox Days” is packed full of fun and wacky games for visitors and community members of all ages. Featured events in this cold weather festival include frozen turkey bowling, snow sculpting, smoosh races, snowshoeing in Voyageurs National Park, Beach Party and much more.

The "Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run," a 10K and 5K race is a celebration of winter running that has been covered by television stations and several magazines including Runner's World. We were most recently featured October, 2009 in an Extreme Traditions segment on the Travel Channel and will soon be featured in one of Jim Cantore’s specials on the Weather Channel.
